Charles "Chuck" VanDyke

Charles "Chuck" VanDyke, 76, of La Grande, died on June 1, 2017 at his residence of natural causes. Chuck was a private person and there will be no funeral service per his request.

Charles Walter was born August 30, 1940 in Forest Grove, Oregon to Clarence and Eunice VanDyke.

He worked for GTE phone company starting as a Lineman and then moved to the Engineering Department, retiring after 30 years. Chuck had many interests.  He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, hunting, camping and gardening.  Chuck loved his family and especially enjoyed his three grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence (Jeff) VanDyke.

Chuck is survived by his wife Judy; mother Eunice VanDyke of Forest Grove; son Jeff and his wife Kailein and their three sons Kaine, Kelen and Jamison of Williston, North Dakota; siblings and their spouses; Jacqueline (Don), Nick (Sharrie), Fred (Laurelen), Vickie (Charlie) and Jeffrey John; numerous nieces and nephews.
