Blue Solmonsson

Blue, AKA “Bloobers,” was the kindest dog with the softest fur and the softest ears.  His beautiful blue eyes were a show stopper and we often had comments on how handsome he was.  He was always gentle with all humans and was famous for his “shark attacking” attempts to herd his dog and even human family members.  He loved to take running jumps onto our bed and burrow his head into the covers to snuggle up next to us.  True to his breed, he was a Velcro dog, sticking close by without a leash and hiding behind mama’s skirts.  He was a super athlete, except when it came to swimming, in which case days at the river had to be supported by a life jacket lift.  He always wanted to be next to us and spent many days on duty as a farm dog out picking cherries, resting under the raspberry bushes to keep cool or herding the horse through the fence.  We will miss him so!
