Ann Starke Obituary

Ann Starke 78, formerly of Halfway, Oregon, died on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Nampa, Idaho.  A graveside service will be held Friday, August 2, 2019~11 a.m. at the Pine Haven Cemetery in Halfway, Oregon.

Ann Irene was born in Antioch, California to parents Harold and Margret Davis. She was raised and educated in Northern California, graduating from Modesto High School in 1959.   Ann met William “Bill” Starke while Ann was BBQ-ing.   Bill was her neighbor and would come to try her delicious food. They fell in love, were married in 1965 and had three children.

Ann worked for Morrison Knudsen for 23 years.  She lived Boise ID, Nampa ID, and Halfway OR.

Ann loved her family, being with nature, cats and a good comedy. Her favorite color was green and she adored geraniums, poppies and Iris.  Ann was a loyal Boise State fan. 

Memorable dates in her life included the birth of her children, grandchildren and going on two cruises.  She will be remembered for always being there for family. Her life philosophy was always “family first”.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Ann is survived by her daughter Carrie and her husband Robert Denney of Meridian, ID; sons Edwin and wife Suzan Starke of Kelseyville, CA, Daniel and wife Kathy Fowler of Morphett Vale Australia; brothers Eddie Davis of NC, Ashley Ainsworth of Minneola, FL and Terry Davis of Bear Lake, UT; 8 grandchildren.
