Anita Carper Obituary

   Anita Sue Carper, 81, passed at home with her family at her side in Payette, Idaho on Monday, July 23, 2018. There will be a Traditional Funeral Service to celebrate her life on Saturday, July 28, 2018~11:00 a.m. at the Richland Christian Church in Richland, Oregon. Interment at Eagle Valley Cemetery. Friends are invited to join the family for a potluck reception to be held immediately following the interment at the Richland Christian Church.

     Anita Sue Doty Carper was born in Carter Nine, OK on January 19, 1937.

She married at age 17 to Darrell Carper in La Grande, Oregon on

Sept 23, 1954. They were married 49 years, until his passing on January 8, 2004.

Anita lived in Oregon the majority of her life.

     She and Darrell had five children; Gene, Debbie, Susan, Shelly & Melody.

They raised their family in Halfway, Oregon and would say that it was "A great place to raise a family."

     Anita enjoyed the outdoor life with her family and many friends. She had several hobbies including gardening, canning and crocheting. She was on a bowling league for many years and was a big part of the VFW ladies auxiliary. Anita did clerical work at the Idaho Power and the Baker County Justice Court, along with several other jobs.

     She was preceded in death by her husband Darrell; grandchildren Jennifer and Kayla Carper; parents Robert Doty and Opal Dix; siblings Norma Doty, Robert Doty, Joseph Austin and Theresa Long.

     Anita is survived by her children, Gene and wife Cindy; Debbie Saunders husband Dwight; Susan Clason and husband David; Shelly Smith and husband Jerry; Melody Weir and husband Mark; grandchildren Elisha Suldan, Sierra and Sydney Saunders, Raleigh Coffman, Renae Hansen, Randi Smith, Derek Harlan and Adrian Roach, Colton, Branden and Dalton Weir;  25 Great Grandchildren; sister Lori Jibreen of Colorado Springs, Colorado and an Aunt Vernice Warneke of Portland, Oregon; many nieces and nephews. She loved having her family home for the holidays.

We love and will miss you, mom forever and one more day. The family would like to thank Encompass Home Health Hospice of Fruitland, Idaho for making her transition smooth and peaceful.
