William "Bill" Shreve Obituary

Bill Shreve, 43, died at his home on March 1, 2018 in Baker City. A private family service will be held at a later date.

William Howard Shreve was born on March 21, 1974 in Sacramento, California to Mark and Bonnie (Chrestman) Shreve. From the age of 19, Bill worked as an Ironworker. He traveled around the country, and was what one would call a "free spirit."

Bill enjoyed fishing and bow hunting. He listened to Classic Rock and Roll.

In 2000, Bill met Shannon in Baker City. It was then that his traveling came to an end, and he settled down in Baker City. He enjoyed quiet time, going to the mountains and the lakes.

His son Jake shared " I've only knew him for a short time in my life, but he was a great guy. Helped me out when he could and always called and talked to me. He was so happy when we first met. I remember the look on his face when I told him that he was my father. We hugged and talked all day. I'll always remember he had long hair and always wore dew rags like he was a biker. I miss him so much."

He was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie and step-mother Claudia Shreve.

Bill is survived by longtime companion Shannon Lethlean, children Jake Hamann, Devin Chapman and Lena Chapman, father Mark Shreve Sr.; brother Mark Shreve Jr.
